K&N Filter

You guys are incredibly dense.
Listen Pappy, I don't need pictures. All the Ram's are the same. I originally meant the intake comes fromABOVE the wheel well. Since you didn't take a picture of the start of the air intake directly behind the passenger side bumper it tells me one of two things - either you are clueless or youconveniently left that picture out. I'll explain that crucial part of the intake.
All it takes is for the water level to be even 1 inch higher than the bottom of the wheel well cowl(down near the bumper - sorry, no pictures
) and the water will ride right up the cowl (behind the headlight) and right into your airbox. I know this is a difficult concept for you, but think real hard[&:].

Ok let’s sum up
1. You bust in here and insult those of us with K&N drop-in filters.
Because you[/i] hydro locked your[/i] truck
2. You describe the air intake as being connected to the wheel well.
So apparently you do need pictures. Yeah right I'm clueless.
3. You were not going to argue the point.
This thread should have endedwith the post just above this remark when the guy said he was going to get a CIA.
And since you weren’t going to argue the point, you have posted 6 more times at present count.
4. Then you continue to argue and tried the pity route stating “I was then ridiculed for my comments”
When in fact you opened Pandora’s Box with your opening remark, and by that you are insinuating that we (K&N drop in users) should not be bothered by your opinions[/i], but heaven forbidwe even think of expressing our opinions[/i].
5. Then you start to back peddle and say the problem is in the intake design not the air filter itself and miss describe the function and location again.
See reply #2.
6. A positive contribution would be something, well positive.
When you put the word NOT in a sentence it becomes NEGATIVE.
I tried yesterday afternoon and poured a cup of water into an K&N and a stock air filter. Initially neither leaked AT ALL. After 10 minutes both were leaking at about the same rate. After about 15 minutes both had no more water in the filter. Both the K&N and the stock filter both had about 5k miles on them. Now this is not factoring in the suction of the intake and the way it would go through either filter merely a static test. If you're really not convinced that an oiled fabric filter is better try blowing through a piece of paper then try blowing through a t-shirt. Enough said.
Pappy, I love that pic.

That doesn't make your mechanic "Psychic" it means he's seen more then one dork run his truck full bore into water and bind up the engine with water. The K&N was just the common denominator.
