Default tune up

well, im right around the cornor of 80k on my truck and im pretty sure it could use a tune up. i grew up on european cars and toyota pickups. this is my first ever american car/truck. heres a list of stuff i put together to change on it. i bought the truck with 70k on it so im not sure what has been done to it so i figured go all out.

plugs, wires, oil, oil filter, air filter, distributer cap, fuel filter, tranny service, trasfergearbox oil, rear end oil.

if i missed anything else let me know. also ive been using amsoil 0w-40 full syn on my other cars, what does a good job on the 5.9?

fuel filter is non serviceable on the trucks (at least 04 is, so i'm assuming 02 is the same)...as for engine oil...i always use Mobil 1with a Wix filter...make sure you use the correct trans fluid (ATF +4), use syn. in the diffs...so on so forth and you should be set...good luck

I'd add radiator cap and new serpentine belt to your list.

Owners manuel says to change the spark plugs every 30K so I'm guessing these are not platinum plugs, just regular?

They are regular copper core plugs from what I understand. I have been told not to use anything else with my truck, other than original equipment style plugs.

Probably a good idea, even better idea on the Hemi. I suppose titanium or iridium will make the truck run way too hot.

You could switch to a better oil filter....like a k&n or some other high performance filter.
