Where did you guys read that 1/2 turn = 1 inch of lift? I think it's the reverse, 1 turn = 1/2 inch of lift. I leveled mine and passenger side took 5 full turns to go 2 inches and the driver side took 6-1/2 turns to go 2 inches. I know it's dead level because I double checked it with a laser transit.

 

That was with the Readylift kit I bought. It may be different for just cranking the screws.

I want to put a lift kit in truck, but i want to keep the 20" rims and I want the truck to keep the look, having the front lower than the pack. What you guys think? I'm a rookie on this.

 

For those that have done mods, would you be willing to post where you got them from and the price? I'm still dreaming about the day I'll be able to start doing some serious stuff to my truck. At least I got my new Cooper Discoverer STs.

 

i got most of my stuff from summit racing,the tb was $330.,headers$579.,cai$280.,exhaust$240.,the chip came from perfromance products,$410.

 

LOL....is this a 4.7 thread or a 4x4 suspension thread?

 

All are welcome here. Just so happens the hot topic is the suspension thing. I've seen a lot of 4x2's doing suspension mods as well. But yes it is geared more towards the 4.7 That is our main focus.

Of course all are welcome here. It just seems odd that a 4.7L engine performance thread is filled with suspension stuff, which really has little to do with engine size.

 

ok guys, im really wantin some headers now, ive found a few but i really don't wana spend over 500, any recomendations? also, i want an LSD, i found one on ebay for likr 450 i think, coul di get one out of a scrap yard? what will fit?
