Ok. i am new to this forum but i am on a cummins forum so i know how this works. we just got this 4.7 and it is a dog[:@]. i am looking at modding it up so its not so slow. anyways i have put the flowmaster on it and i see that i need to look into a Y-pipe but i am looking at a F&B 72mm TB the web site said that it is for 2000-2003 and fully modded. but the guy that wants me to buy it said that it will fit 2000-2005 and that it can be stock. need someone that knows if this will work or not to let me know. i can tell you almost everything on the cummins but not a dang thing with th 4.7.

Also were can i find a chip/ programmer for it.

Thanks,
Eric

I' must have missed this post from the beggining, but in August, Manogmin said he buddy knew someone at the dealership and they flashed his cpu. My wife used to work for a dodge dealership, and I have several friends and mechanics that still work there. No one knows of such a flash. Does anyone know what flash Manogmin was talking about.

UH, well the 02 4.7 in my QD cab 4x is a turd. AVG 10.5pg and no power. I can't see investing a fortune in a turd unless you're going all the way with it.Inthat case, that much money would be better invested in abetter motor thus more bang for the buck.

Im lookin for tires for my 06 4x4 the stock tires that came on it are total crap off the pavement...

my dilema is I dont want to spend more than a grand, and 900$ or less for a set would be nice. I have looked online and all over the place I think I will be forced to pay atleast 1,100 bucks for a set of grabby tires.

17x8' rims
needing p285x70x17's or close

Oh and Super chips makes a programer for the 4.7 They just take about 3-4 years todevelop it.

I actually was just in the same dilema as you ... the stock tires on my 02 4X4 were just terrible and I had replaced them three times with the same stock tires and was just tired of getting raped by Goodyear. In any case, I came across these General Grabber AT2's on Tire Rack. I just bought them last week and had them installed. Man, they are great!! They handle the wet and dry pavement perfectally, I can't believe how much better they grip the road. I have also had the opportunity to test them in some deep snow, and they just ate right through it. I went through some very large snowbanks with no problem even in 2WD!! The road noise is a bit louder than the stock tires, but nothing to write home about; definitly not annoying or anything. And the best part about them is that they were super cheap! I got 4 tires mounted and balanced for $653 out the door (included tax and everything). I did not buy them off of Tire Rack, I bought them from my local mechanic. Also, they make the truck look so much better, much more aggresive looking. All in all, I love them and I highly reccomend them. I can't say much on their longevity because I just bought them, but I hope that they give me at least 40-50k miles.

If you want to to post some pics with the tires on the truck, let me know. I would be happy to do that.

a hawkdriver- here is what didnt work,

i put on a throdle body spacer, all i does is whistle and eat fuel, didnt notice anymoe power, and my mpg droped ftom 16 to 14 !

k&n full intake, makes a good diference, although the cheap off brand wored justas well on my wifee's 4.7l

flomater 40 series works well, and most other brands just make crappy noise without any gain...

I want a CAI for my '02. Alot of people here say they have a K&N and it works well, but do not specify which model K&N. They make 2 different types for the truck (77 and FIPK). I know the FIPK hasbetter performance gains, but there must be a reason that the 77 seriesis still offered. Can anyone give meadvice as to what CAI I should look into?I know I posted this on other similar threads and i appologize for this. I just want to ensure I get the best part for my needs.
