u work at a dealership, MFG plant or what? My office looks right across the parking deck to intoChrysler HQ lol.....prolly wont get any specs until later in 2008 (closer to when they go into production)...we have a couple 09 vehicles with the new 5.7L Hemi in them and it's a hell of a difference between those and the old hemi....i'll double check once again but i'm positive it's 375 HP at the tires
If that really is true then the regular cab would run somewhere around mid to high 13's. That would mean dodge created 2 of the 3 fastest pickup trucks ever made. The SRT-10 Ram F-150 Lightning and the 09 Ram's. That means for me I'm getting an 09 Ram most likely a QC though which with 375HP would run mid 14's out the box.

The toyota tundra is rated at 381hp but thats at the crank right? If so, it should have about 300hp at the wheels with the 22% transmission and driveshaft loss?

I assume the freshened-up 5.7 Hemi engine will get a system similar to the V10
but will it be optimized for power or economy?

Several months ago Tom LaSorda said that he had ordered Chrysler engineers to look for 'free fuel economy improvements' by altering camshaft settings.

It is also time for the 5.7 to get the sodium filled exhaust valve that the 6.1V8 has had for a couple years, along with a raise in the compression ratio.
