Truck will not start
I hope somebody here can please help me. I am lost. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 with the 5.9l in it. The truck cranks but it will not start. I checked the fuel but no fuel comes of the shradder valve while cranking. i check to see if there is power to the pump and there is power to one wire. I also noticed that the fuel guage is not working. I changed the fuel pump a few months ago. So right there i was going to change the fuel pump again but i decided to check for spark. I have no spark. I checked to see if i had power at the coil but i have no power to the coil either. So i thought maybe the ignition switch. i change the switch and still no go. Can anybody please help me i would really appreciate it. Thank you

RE: Truck will not start
Thanks for your response. I started to play around with the computer by hitting it and wiggling the connectors. Tried to start it and it started. Then i test drove it and while i was at a light it stalled on me. i got out and hit the pcm again and it started. I just got a price on the pcm and it costs over 500 dollars with a 125 dollar core. thanks again for your input.

Before you change the ECM, check all the connector plugs that plug into it, make sure you pull the neg battery cable BEFORE YOU PULL THOSE PLUGS. There have been some folks here that have reported corrosion on the terminals. Best bet, clean em good, then pack the connector box that is on the ECM with silicone grease, #2 lithium grease can be used, but silicone is much better, and it will seal out all the water that causes the corrosion. Also, check the wires as they enter the plug connector to make sure none are broken, pushed out, etc.
