Default dealer service....lack of it...

Dodge makes a great truck, My dealer came close to really messing up mine. I would like to advise any one in Clagary Alberta canadato avoid this dealer. ( located in the glenmore auto mall )

And I want to ask how any one can find a dealeship or mecanic that repsects money in return for quality expertise, or has excellant reports on for thier dealer.

I may have been foolish today for caring abought maintaing my truck. I had the transfer case, front and rear dif fluids cahnged, the front suspension checked and cruse control checked.

The cruse is a waranty issue, some spring of some sort that is not in stock ( have to check invioce for the part name )

I get home and fluid is leaking out of the front diff, thankfuly dealer is close to home.

So, Fluid leaking out of the front diff, excuse is bolts got x threaded, like they only go in one way, service advisor agreass to put in my history file of service that this has happened but is unwilling to give me a copy of paper work, upon asking a 3rd time I got confermation of this.

No doubt on the highway, I would have toasted my front diff on my 2500, I will not mention the $$$$ I paid, I can write if off, but I need my Ram 100% 100% of the time.

Front suspension still randomly making noise, but not when truck is for service....

Any how, From this point on, I'm making the time to do all my maintance....

That durmax is looking tempting for all the wrong reasons....

dude...just because you want to switch to another brand doesn't mean your not gonna run into problems....and this just really irritates me that people do this...i know your having problems with your truck, and i'm sorry for ya, but going to another brand won't solve any problems cause you'll just have different ones to deal with...and if the service with that dealer is that bad then try going to a different dealer....

the dealer i go to is great...they always get my truck in right away, get it fixed right (99% of the time) and are pretty friendly and they seem like they care more about making the customer happy than anything else...could be the fact that alot of people that work at Chrysler take their vehicles there as well as me, but i think they are a pretty honest dealership and willing to go that extra mile to help out someone in need

Like I said...the Duramax is looking tempting for all the wrong reasons, Its my dealer, not the truck and I'm looking at finding a new dealer, problem is I'm running out of options and any one in Calgary who can offer glowing praise for thier dealer, bring it all on, I'm all ears.

I have a question with warenty work...

If one dealer ( the one I hate ) orders a part and is the first tackel a warenty claim, do I have to stay with that dealer for the warenty repair, or can I go to a new dealer and have them do the warenty repair?

Clutch safety switch on my cruse control ( 6sp ) and is this a complicated repair?

You don't need to go back to the other dealer. Just let the next dealer that parts were ordered for your repairs, that would be a warranty repair. And when you get a CSI report from dodge to grade your visit at the dealer, Send it back with a big fat zero.
