I wonder what it would run a 1/4 mile in with the 6.1 and some mods done to it.[sm=confused06.gif]
depends on what mods... but it would much quicker than a lot of people would expect when they see a 96 ram pull up...

+1. I would expect it to run a solid mid 13. with just the motor swap seeing how it is about the same weight as the other srt8s

if a Cummins 12 valve can be showhorned and fabricated to fit onto the frame of a 05 1500. . .a 6.1L can easily be done as well.

granted the motor itself is going to be more electronic than your 360the 6.1Lwill be a beast. The main problem I would see would be engine and tranny mount possitions.

a bored 360 would also be a good route if you cannt get things to work right(which I doubt)

very true point... i have seen some insane engine swaps this is in no way unrealistic its just wether or not you actually follow through and you take the time for different mounts and stuff.....

hes thinking of getting the trans that mates with it as well, so a custom trans mount at least, if not a crossmember, as well as a custom d/s.

the moral of the story is kids, theres no cheep way to go fast as a daily driver in these trucks. I think ill take a cobra and throw $5k at it and run 10s.
