Default Oil Pressure? Help please. Update: Worried?

Before oil change noticed top of motor had light oil on it, dealer is looking at it next week.

Did oil change, it is NOT over full. checked it at home, my friends, work. Always cold. Is on the higher side of safe though. Where i always fill too.
My oil pressure gage reads in the acceptible range, but just below the high side, beween half and the higher normal mark.

Just started noticing this, about 2 oil changes ago. Is this something i need to worry about normal? Just hit 30k miles by the way.

Okay.

Checked warm before. sorry typo.

But now.

Checked after got home, few mile drive home from work. All temps at normal. Oil looked perfect. right between the F and the E on stick right after i parked it.

Filler lid, cap whatever it is called. Where you pour the oil in at. I checked the hose to it, it is tight, but when i took the cap off, it had abunch of moisture in it (droplets of water) and has this red/brown funny film all over the inside. Wont rub off, it has stained the plastic. That has me concerned. Any ideas? it hits the stealer tomorrow.

oil will expand when heated jd, if you are filling above the full line it could be comming out, though im not that familiar with the hemi, its possible
he has the hemi mastertech.maybe that oil was there from your last service too, check during this maintenance cycle and see if the oil appears again.

I should have been more clear. My oil pressure gauge reads on the high end like yours JD1500. NO oil on the engine however.

Checked hot immediately after shut-off, or did you wait five min. or so? If immediately, there's a trifle too much oil. If after the wait, it's about right. Just changed the oil in mine (90K). Kept nudging the fill 'til its just below maximum "safe". The only oil on the engine is what I spilled and didn't mop up. Did you remove the hose from the filler to the Hemi-hat? If that's missing, some spillage could occur from the filler.
