have you pressure checked the system and radiator cap? could be a pressure issue as well.

I think I am going to take it to a shop and just let them check it out. There is to many things it can be. I just need to take it and get it look at I guess.

if you think it might be the thermostat why dont you try taking it right out then going for a drive ??

it would prove that it is not your thermostat . If you take it out you should run cold the vehicle should never really heat up as you will have a continuouseflow of cool water

Good point sddunn2...04DodgeRam1500, if you still have had the same problem before the t-stat change its bound to be something else. How are the conditons of the radiator hoses?

I had the same symptoms on a2001, 1500. I replaced my radiator and all problems went away. Afterwards i tore the old radiator apart.The radiator had a lot of scale build up in the inside. It was so plugged i dont know how any fluid was getting through.
