HA - I get about 330-340 on my 34 gallon tank - thats strictly city driving! - Driving to Alabama in the next few days and it's a relatively flat stretch so I should get pretty decent mpg - like 15-16.

385 on a 35 gallon tank?!!? Youch! I get that on a regular basis on my 25 gallon.... [sm=proof.gif]

but the new Ram with its 34 gallon tank took me 385 miles on the first tank so I'm ok with this setup.

ON average...[*]1 gallon of water equals 8.33 lbs.[*]1 gallon of gasoline equals 5.8 to 6.5 lbs.
You have 10 extra gallons of gas is 58 - 65LBS... not much but maybe it could make a difference...

how big were the tanks?
my brothers ford has 2 tanks that hold a combined amount of 30 gallons.
my old chevy 3/4 hvy had 1 32 gal.
my old dodge ctd (that I now drive ) has 1 24 gal
1 or 2 tanks wont make the diff on fuel milage guys.
use your brains!!!
its the driver, vehicle weight, drag (empty or loaded), computer settings, etc.
my 93 ctd gets 400miles + on 1 24 gallon tank.
try a smarty or another programmer and see if you can dial in the best mpg out there..

RE: two gas tanks ?
It's a 34 gal tank - I don't have mds - and my truck weighs in at almost 6700lbswith 3.73 gears - I don't have a lead foot - I drive it pretty easy - but with the gearing, bigger tires that I am running and the weight of the truck - it's not going to get good mpg - but on the hwy I can get 14-15 at 75 - and 15.5-16.5 at 65. I only have to fill up once a week (every sunday) so it's not to bad. But if I could have a second 34 gallon tank - I probably would - it would be nice to only have to fill up every 2 weeks.
