Bob, I believe that it can be done. But you will need the engine, transmission, all wiring for both and the powertrain control module. There may be a few other things that you will need and I am sure others will jump in with advice......

If he is giving you the srt10 leave it in their. Even though the engine will fit there will be problems down the road that will nickel and dime you.

Not worth the trouble. Lots more to the SRT than the engine/tranny. You would want the entire drivetrain, computer system, suspension (including steering), brakes and cooling system. Then at that point you would have somewhat of a safe truck, but still missing the interior, wheels, tires, hood, bumpers and ground effects, which I will assume is mostly a loss.

I would pull the interior out of it(if not blood stained)and put it in your truck and sell of the other parts for whatever you can get. If the engine/tranny is good you should be able to get 8K give or take a few.

On a side note, another one bites the dust. You can just about find 1 post like this per week on the net. Keep smashing them up, only helps me in the long run.

Don't forget, if the truck was rolled there is a chance of engine damage also if it ran upside down due to oil issues. I have always been told to never buy an engine out of a rollover vehicle because you never know how long it ran upside down.

There is always a chance you are gonna take one unuseable truck and add one useable truck and end up with two unuseable trucks when all is said and done...

How generous! "Here -- as a reward for exceptional service, have a wrecked truck." The other posters are correct -- forget moving the motor. Part that puppy out and enjoy the cash. If the wheels are healthy, you can probably get a grand for them? Seats, as well. I presume the hood is a write-off, but maybe not. It might produce several thousand $ over time. Better yet, "Boss -- tell you what... how 'bout $5K cash, and YOU part it out?"

it's possible if you want to invest the time and money to do it...personally, if you want a srt-10 then fix the wrecked one you have or part it out and sell your truck and then go buy one....too much work for somethin like that
