Default got a killer deal on some subs and amp feedback wanted**finally installed and updated pics***

someone offereda pairsome kicker CVX subwoofers 12" inches and a 1200 watt kicker amp for 250. i know this will sound awesome. i am gonna have this installed at a shop by my house and its going underneath the rear seat with a premade box. the box will cost me about 120 and its sealed. will this sound good in my truck? i was also offered somecomp cvrs that are older with a 300 watt amp for 200 but i think thefirst offer is a much better deal.i would like a hard hitting system and ive had kicker before and i have always been satisfied. any comments or input is greatly appreciated.

the cvx's are kickers best round sub. the 1200w amp is the newest kicker amp. just those are easily $1000 new.

well my main concern is the airspace from the premade box.i was thinking of making a custom made mdf box or something. i saw a few threads here and i totally liked it but i really dont have the time or the experience to do something like that. i might have to buy a bunch of pizza and beer and get a buddy to make it for me.

im sure it will sound good. the shop installing may be able to rig up something to allow for more air flow or something. dont know a lot about stereos but just throwing it out there

Yeah, if you know anyone who can fabricate a box made more specifically for the subs you got, it would be a huge benefit. If nothing else, you can use spacer rings to create more airspace and raise your backseat to allow the change.

I dont think ive ever heard of those raiser rings? basically the box that is being sold to me is a sealed box. the airspace i was speaking of is the air volume thats inside the box (sorry if there was a misunderstanding).

Do a search for subwoofer spacer rings, they come in all sizes. The carpet where the ring is to be installed has to be removed, glue-clamp-and screw the rings in. Raising the speakers is going to give you increased air space in the box. But it's also going to put you closer to the under side of your back seat, which may require some raising.
