Default Sad Day

Well its a sad day for me.. I am gonna be gettin rid of my truck.. My wife had this wonderfull idea of filing for bankruptcy which I cant say is a total bad idea since she a massed lots of debt while in college payin for things. Now her Law school loans start. Well at the time she had better credit than I did so she signed for the truck. Now she doesnt want to reaffirm it. I guess on the up side we got approved for a "new" vechile but the crappy side of that is that its a Chevy Dealer YAY so my question to you guys if I really want a dodge will they get one for me since there is no dodge dealers where I am at. I cant say i am totally sad to see her go though as we got raped hardcore on the truck. It might be the best thing. I am gonna be getting a Diesel as I am heading back to work on the farm. Pullin trailers. So I guess either way I was gonna be gettin a Diesel. Neways sorry guys just had to vent a bit. So you guys think they will look for a dodge diesel at a chevy dealership for me?

I don't know what it's like in the US, but here in Canada, if you file for bankrupcy, no loan/credit institution will touch you or family members for up to 7 years. At least that's what many have told me what happened when family members filed.

yea dude if you filed for bankruptcy you should not even be considering a new vehicle. especially a diesel. I mean you just filed for bruptcy and now ur gonna take a loan out on a vehicle for 40k or more. that's a bad idea. one ur loan will suck because ur credit is gonna be in the tank for a good while. buy urself an old beater truck to get urself from point a to point b until you get ur financial situation under control.

Not to be *******, but. I have a strong feeling you will be filing bankruptcy again.

You need to buy an older pickup, for cash. just to get you around, you can always upgrade along the way. But your out of being financed for at least 7 years, and at least here. you have to pay alot of that debt back. Even if someone will qualify you. it will be at 18-24%.

Sounds like borrowing and not paying attention to detail/interest got you here. You said you got screwed on the truck? how so? High interest.?

filing bankruptcy, and then borrowing money for a 40k truck at 18-24% interest is how you end up broke again.

I heard it's a lot harder to claim bankruptcy now-a-days...that's why everyone made that mad dash to claim several years ago.

the reason we filed has nothing to do with a payment of a truck... My wife makes damn good money but through 7 years of college. and no fulltime job and a 200000 dollar school loan to pay off. she had quite a bit credit carddebt. and here they do touch you right away because they know you cant file again for 7 years which we wont have to ever again. first year of my wifes job and she makin more money than most people who have worked at jobs for some time. just the fact that the credit cards screwed her in college.

So does that mean once your wife makes big bucks you will pay off all your loans?
