bought my 06 in 06. got a mediocre deal. sticker was 33k, paid 26k. rolled neg equity in for a 30k purchase. (don't ask)

 

Sounds like you did fine, a little over $10K off on a 4wd. Got my '07 for almost $12K off last summer, but it's a 2wd, they're a dime a dozen in these parts. '08 2wd Big Horn Hemis in SoCal are still being advertised for $12K off on the weekends. My guess is that at least where I live it's not as easy as just walking into the dealership if you want $12K off a 4wd since they never seem to be featured as an "ad car".

 

Sticker on my truck was 45k, I walked out the door for $31,500

Sticker on the Jeep was 28k, out the door for 19k

Sticker was $36,900 out the door for $23,000. It was a left over 2007. Had only 25 miles on it.

The deals that are around now are sickening. When I bought my '03 new in January of '03 the sticker was $40,000, brought them down to $38,000, but they had to put in leather heated seats, and switch out the stock rims for aluminum at no charge. Then they gave me $10,000 for my '96 Ram, so final number was $28.000. Now I could probably have got the same truck for $20,000.

 

In november of 07, my truck was listed as $34,000. I told him where i wanted my payments, and my truck didnt have a hitch, so he threw that in. $23,000 when all was done.

Got an 06 with 5500 miles on it for $19500.
