gotta agree on not lowering the truck. why? its a truck? its not meant to be lowered. also...if you have a 4x4 and lower it? then...ya...thats a crime

I've had some lowered cars before, and the ride really sucks and just screws the suspension up in the long run. A truck is even worse to lower, especially if it is a 4x4..no point??? I don't know, to say the truth, you really won't see anyone with lowered 3rd gen rams on this board (at least I haven't seen any). Many bought theirs because they want to be higher than others, but hey if that's what you want, suit yourself. It just sucks to have regrets about it after a while......I know I did with my first car....and that was a car. I've rarely seen lowered full size trucks...mainly s10's and such.

Jusging buy the jacked up truck it's jacked up upon the same mentality of lowering, all show and no go. From the chrome plated shocks to the flame painted sides to the overall height and everything in between. The dude would have put spinners on them if he could have found them in time for the pic.

Personally, i think an 8" drop looks just as dumb as an 8" lift. BOTH can be done TASTEFULLY though, just dont go to extreme.

My experience with friends rides that are lowered, trucks and cars. Is no matter what, they always ride ****ty.

the truck is a 2x4. not trying to look ghetto or anything. i know what ghetto cars look like, trust me i live in bad parts of miami florida. ive seen those monte carlos on 26 inch wheels and off road suspension.

i just want a nice low clean truck. im not gonna slam it on bags like the white chevy, and a raised 2x4 is just plain stupid and i personally think that raised trucks are untasteful (to be blunt its ugly in my eyes)
like the above poster said, they can both be tastefully done. ive seen raised 4x4s that are hott as hell. i want a 5/7 drop. maybe a 4/6 its not that bad of a drop, it doesnt look like a lowrider. on dodgetruckworld there are plenty of people with drops. hell in miami almost everyone has dropped their vehicles.

it just looks better imo. im not bashing anyones raised or lowered truck. im just looking to see if anyone has done it and where did they get their parts?

to do the 5/8 slam you have to get spindles and control arms up front and a flip kit with 2" shackles and of course a c-notch and recommend re-aligning ur driveshaft and some good shocks, ur truck will look clean just stay away from steep driveways, ive got a 4/6 kit at home just waiting to get put on but ive gotta wait till i get the wife a new car cuz rite now she is using my truck
