Hey guys I am new to the board and tried to search this subject but couldnt find anything. I have heard of people lifting the front ends of their trucks by using torsion bars and was wondering if my 05 2wd has these or do they just come on 4wds? Any help is appreciated it.
Greetings, what I am gathering here is that you have coil over spring. The easy way to tell obviously is if you have a big spring mounted at each wheel. You would be able to see them by just looking at the wheel well. If you have the A frame torsion assembly you woul notice a large steel bar that comes out from just behind the ball joint assembly and will go back toward the rear and will stop about the same distance as the door underneathe the truck. The torsion is mounted using a tension bolt mounted into the crossmember. I hope this helps. I just put a levelling kit into my 05 Ram 4x4. There is a few threads here discussing this, I think I remember one of the members saying that the 2wd's have coil over setup.
