Infinity sound system...do they all suck or just mine?
I guess you can have the dealer do it if your not comfortable doing it yourself.
I would bring a printout of the TSB with you.
Like Ken said, you can just cut the two wires and switch them and it will work just as well.
You can buy some butt splices at any auto parts store and use them.

I listen to all types of music from country to rock to rap.....everything. As far as the sourse, its a mix between FM radio, FM radio transmitter for the iPod and CD's. Obviously the CD's sound better then the rest, but they all pretty much sound like crap. I just dont understand why my work truck (dodge single cab 2005) with the base speakers sound so much better??

What are you listening to? Sirius radio sounds flat and muffled, and a lot of FM channels crank up the bass to compensate for people with ****ty car stereos. Does it sound ****ty still with a CD?

My suggestions: If you just want it to sound good, and are not looking for a "great" or higher end sound, then i'd suggest you replace the stock speakers with aftermarket. Do this first. I say this because the headunit first will change nothing, except be more fun to play with. Unless you add an aftermarket amp to your setup, the head unit will do bout ditally for your sound. Personally i'd recommend adding amps to your aftermarket speakers as well. I havea 5 channel amp, but i've seen people use 2 two channel amps. They are fairly inexpensive, because they are not bass amps. Lower power is fine, around 200watts. I run one 500watt amp, it powers 11speakers. Just changing the stock speakers should yield siginficant results. It can also cost less then a head unit if you go to the right places.
This is my .02 woth...
My 08 Infinity sounds pretty damn good. I have yet to distort my speakers and I really crank it up. However, there are some serious sound quality issues coming from Sirius Satellite...it's too "grainy" and poor quality for my taste. CDs and MP3 sound amazing.
The bass does have some kick to it but again, it is nothing like 2X10" subs with 500W of power
