this mostly pertains to you flowmaster owners. does a flowmaster add power to our trucks? if it does, what kind did you get? (i.e. 44, 40, 50, super40...) in/out (dual, single??)?
If you go with either if the 40's you will want to go with true duals. The 40's are louder, but they restrict more if you use a single muffler instead of 2.
i have a 2005 ram4.7l and i had my exhuast guy take out my y pipe and make me a dual inlet dual outlet super 40 and its awsome i love the sound and the power

RE: yes or no (only) question about flowmaster
I have the Flowmaster Super 40 Single in Dual out. I believe it added HP but can't be too sure as I had all the extra crap cut out at the same time which probably helped more then the muffler.
i cant say i felt much in power gain, if i did they were minimal. i have a 40 series si/do and a new y-pipe with all resonators taken out. it sounds real nice and loud sounded even better when i added a volant intake to the mix. its real deep and throaty. not to mention it looks real nice coming out 45ed behind each tire with big 4 inch slash cut tips. gets people looking and guys in minivans droolin when ya get on it.
