Default Tow Mirror Questions

The stock mirrors are not wide enough to see around the new travel trailer. Has anyone used the snap on type mirrors? The mirrors fit on the stock mirror to extend out wide enough to see around the trailer. I am wondering about shake and durability.

Igot the cheap strap-ons from walmart and i rather not use them. If i really need to see then I'll probably get a camera. I can see "okay" with my 20 foot trailer.

I have **** clip ons I got from Camping World. They hold well and not shake much. I am waiting until I can find some good electric ones at a yard to replace them

I used the www.tow-n-see.comones on my Grand Cherokee. The only time I had an issue was coming through the mountains in PA last Feb when one came loose on the hwy, they have a strap to keep them attached to the mirror in case the suction cup comes loose, as mine did. Other than that they have been great. I figured mine came loose do to changes in temp and alt. they had been put on in 15F weather at a lower alt. and came off in about 35F weather with an extra 2500 ft of alt.

Once you put them on you can adjust them with the power controls you adjust your mirrors with.

HTH

Stock mirrors are about $500. Based on the replys, the extensions seem to work fine. I will go with them until the lease on this truck is up. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

$500 bucs from the dealer. either go on ebay and they have the stock tow mirrors from mopar for about $250. or contact our guy on here his name is parts/serivce. he can get them for you for about $300. its the right way to do it and it looks a ton better. besides..these mirrors are really nice
