The vid is so grainy you can hardly tell which truck is which...and you're talking about seeinga badge? It had a hemi....a 4.7 would've been wayyyyy back there.

man i cant believe how blind us dodge owners are, several things, at the bottom it says all vehicle are closely comparable (something to that extent) and yes it was a hemi, like a previous person said the 4.7 would be way at the bottom. and if for some reason the dodge had won these events hemipower and hemiman and hemiyellow would all be saying yeah damn right dodge is the best, the video proves it. come on, theyve got us beat in the half ton market. we still have a 1 ton market that theyre not touching. they scrapped a 1 ton diesel a while back but are shooting for a light duty diesel mid 2010, will be interesting to see how this toyo competes with a diesel powerplant in it. the company is call hino (toyota owns it)
johnM at least no tires were spinning during this vid right? lol

It's not really fair to compare a truck designed four to five years prior to the other. that's an eternity when it comes to technology. We had the HP race won for a few years and I believe the re-introduction of a Hemi powerplant by Dodge caught everyone else with their collective pants down. Everyone started scrambling to come out with new engines that compete with or beat the Hemi. So now we'll have to wait & see how the 4th gen Dodges compare with the newer engines on the market.
