so my friend was changing the power level on my edge chip today while i was in the house grabing somting and the moron turned off the key in the middel of it programing and now my truck wont start so i had a tow truck come pic it up and take it to the dealership so i will be with out a truck for couple days, i took the programer right outta my truck so they wont konw i had a chip in it and i just hope all they gotta do reprogram my computer in the truck, but i wonder if my edge programer is screwed now

 

Between you and that guy that had tranny fluid poured in his brake reservoir...I hope people take note and start doing stuff themselves.

ya no kidding no one is gonna mess wiht my truck again, and he tryed to say he dident turn the key off but im not dumb i was actuallly pritty chaped cus i was just about to go out quading , wow i just hope it will be a simple fix cus my truck is under warrenty but idn about that chip i might have to send it in to edge for them to reset that chip

 

he oughta pay for the reprogram

YEAH. Aren't they going to know you had a programmer hooked up? I've always read people saying that have to take off their programmers after resetting them to stock before going in for any service to avoid any problems.

 

yea your suppose to set it to stock when you take it in, but right now it dosent have any setting it is blank

 

I wouldn't bank too much on that. Even when a computer crashes, data is retrievable.
