I am gonna buy an air filter setup and was wondering what u guys r usin and what kind of results ur getting,

iknow theres a lot of posts on this but figured it was a good idea to get fresh answers, cause theres always newer tech.
Also whats the word on throttle body spacer? they say it gives better air flow is this true?

dont waste the money on the throttle body spacer, unless you plan on adding nitrous to your truck. throttle body spacers make good paperweights. for a filter I would use a dryflow filter I.E AEM, trueflow, etc..I currently am running a dual cone intake with 2 fram airhogs and they seem to bring in alot of air, but after hearing of some people having problems with oiled filters I will be using dryflow filters when my engine goes back together

 

so ure runnin double intake? or 2 cones off 1 line?

I "T" out of the throttle, onefilter runs upto my hood scoop, the other goes over to the factory location....

hows it run with all that air? did u have to get a hotter spark plug?

It runs pretty good, but I have the free flowing exhaust to go with it. With that said I had it on my 4.7 originally and it made my throttle response better, I only had a dual catback on that truck at the time I installed the intake

 

Without forced induction a engine will only pull in the air it needs...no more or less (unless it's restricted). So if you throw in a cam, heads and headers you'll get better use out of that CAI...which is why it's a supporting mod.

 

exactly...in about 4 days I have a cam and new valvetrain going in my truck

yeah thats still a dream 4 me lol what about those chips/programmars i keep reading about? is it worth it if all is stock? after reading about that guy who erased his comp im a little sketchy lol
