I just purchased a brand new 08 ram quad cab 4x4. Needless to say I am wanting to do a million things to it already. What kind of lifts are there for this yr model? I can only find a Pro Comp 6" suspension lift, is this a good lift? The truck will not be off road at all, I am building it up just for show, it is my daily driving truck. I plan on going with a 20" Dick Cepek DC-1 black and chrome wheel. And maybe a Nitto Grabber tire. I would like to run 37" tires, is that to much for the truck, or should i just stay with a 35" tire? I had to custom order the truck from the dealership and dodge is still currently building it right now. I will have it the first week of may, so I have a little bit of time before it gets here. Any suggestions please. If any one has a lifted truck like this please post a pic, thanks!

Why don't you just do a leveling kit and a 3" body lift, it would probably be cheaper than a full blown 6" suspension lift and you end up about the same heigth when done.

you can do a body lift and leveling kit for a fraction of the cost of a suspension lift and get the same height in the end. A few guys on the forum have done this and are running 35-36" tires with no rubbing.

For the leveling kit...I recommend the one from top gun customz which alot of guys on here use. Its only like $86.00. I think their website is www.topguncustomz.com
Performance Accessories makes the 3" body lift. It's like $300-$350 depending on where you look. www.performanceaccessories.com
The body will sit higher than the chassis with a body lift, but they sell gap guards that hide that or you can get the full wheel well liners.

They are pretty easy to install...Took me a little over an hour but I used to be a mechanic. Now I only work on my own stuff! I would check with performace accessories about the application. I am almost positive that the 08 is the same as the 06-07's. You dont really notice the gaps that much with the body lifts. A few guys on here have them and they look awesome. Check out bighornblue's truck...he just got his done. Also Romeosoldier03 has one and he is running 36" Iroks on factory 20's. Hopefully my body lift will be on within the next month. I am going to run 35" Nittos on 18's with it.
