Inverters have capicitors within them. If not wired correctly or as some pointed out into your lighter sockets it will keep some stuff powered up. I still say start with the basics. Check ALL the fuses, check all the main grounds starting at the battery, and make sure if you recently added something that all connections are clean. You might be getting water down the a-pillar into the wiring but you'll go astray if you start there. Start with the easy stuff before you go tearing your truck apart.
well if it works perfectly now, it would lead me to the lights leaking a bit of water....now that the water has dried, it is corrected.....might pull them off and look for condensation, or corrosion to make sure it isnt that......
