Is that why they're offering a HEMI upgrade at no extra (supposively) cost now you think?
supposedly** and by that question, it IS a free upgrade. but the thing is, lets say you find a 4.7L SLT. you have to find a matching HEMI and you get the same price. so then youll have a SLT HEMI. geddit?
The hemi has the MDS, which helps at normal freeway speeds. It doesn't do anything the rest of the time, though, so the 4.7 does better then.
The 11.2 mpg stated above was for E85, which is 85% alcohol, 15% gasoline. Alcohol has less heat energy in it than gasoline, so you have to burn more of it to make the same power. The engine computer automatically increases the fuel flow when you run E85 to compensate.
You'd be surprised how often MDS kicks on...I have it kick on in residental streets and parking lotsall the time.
i get around anywhere from 12-23 mpg acccording to the over head comp....sometimes i think its wrong, because theres one street here in college station that it says i get 23 mpg.and its only a 40 mph street...so i have no idea if its right or wrong but thats what it says anyways
For comparison's sake, on my 45-minute drive to work, my truck gets 14.7 mpg while our Tundra CrewMax 4wd 5.7 automatic w/20" wheels gets about 15.5 mpg.
