yeah i have an 04 RC dodge 2wd with the 4.7 and mine will out most chevy 5.3l v8 me and my friend raced he has a 2001 2wd RC chevy with the 5.3 has magnaflow dual exaust and a k&n CAI with the 3.73 gears and just read my sig for what i have in mine and from take off to 80MPH i smoked his *** lol so dont think the 4.7 aint worth a crap cause it will do big things.

 

What did I say about quoting me?LOL! Anyway, aren't the 4.7s based on the same engine design as the 5.2/5.9? If so, that opens a lot of doors.

 

Get a Dakota with the 4.7 and 6sp, aside from the looks of a new dakota, the new 4.7 is packing over 300 h/p, due to the light whieght of a Daktoa, it will kill a stock hemi in a Ram.

I own a 2500 5.7 6sp, yes, the 6 sp is a blast to drive, but it's not built for drag racing, as for moding out, the 360 has lots of aftermarket go fast goodies.

I'm impressed with the 4.7, but its to little engine for My needs.

 

Once my engine is broke in i'd be willing to put it up against a hemi. I've got a better tranny just about the same amount of power, less weight because everyone has those quad cab things, and i don't have to deal with power loss due to the jawesomeness of the 545rfe

There is NO WAY a stock Dakota 4.7will come close to a hemi. Even If its a QCLB 4X4!
I worked for the dealership for a while selling these things!

Not only that, us salesman debated the same thing and here is what happened:

1. Me in a QCSB 4x4 vs Paul in an 07 dakota 4x2 4.7 v8.

Not even a question.

2. We switch (he thinks I can out drive him and its not fair)

I go all out. Posi rear any everything dont even break lose.

Finally, The hemi ram can and will ALWAYS win!
