I know I'm digging up an old thread here, but hoepfully someone can help. I've got an '02 SLT ram w/ the infinity system. I want to swap out head units. I see I've got two options:

1) buy (what seems to me is) an over-priced converter that will cost me more than the head unit I want to put in to account for the amp.

2) buy a cheap harness like you would for Chrysler in normal situations (the right one, of course) and manually run a blue wire from somewhere to the ignition.

I'd rather do #2 as I can't justify a $150 harness for a $100 head unit. Can someone tell me where that blue wire comes from and what it needs to be connected to?
