No matter what you do here its gonna drone in the cab.
+1. flowmaster 50HD is supposed to be a quiet muffler.

i have a magnaflow 5x8 oval, it's relatively quiet unless you want it to be loud, the longer the mag the quieter it will be. I really didn't want something that would always make noise, that's just annoying IMO. I think i have a 5x8x14", maybe 18" and it drones somewhere between 1500-2000 (of course that's between 60 and 70 mph), but only when it is under middle load. cruising i have to listen for it to hear it, going up steep hills it gets audible, and when floored it just soudns damn good.

but no matter what you do, if you go away from stock, you're gonna get a little audio something to remind you of it.

oh, and from everything i've read Magnaflow exhausts will perform just about as well or better than every exhaust out there. it blows some of them away, including flowmaster.

I have an 07 Ram with Hemi, I cut out the stock muffler and replaced it with a Magnaflow 18" oval. The exhaustdoes make more noise but it is mostly noticable when I get on it. The Magnaflow muffler is quiet if Ido not have my foot in thefloor. I definetly can tell when the MDS kicks in. The funny thing is, I installed a K&N 63cold air intake and I thinkit is louder than the exhaust. With the intake and exhaust I have noticed a 1.5-2 MPG increase.

The Magnaflow made more power on my old 01 F150 than the Flowmaster did.
