That fan is a nice set up, but i'll take my old lincoln fan over the flex-a-lite anyday. My setup cost 1/2 what the flex-a-lite does, and it flows more.

that flexalite is the whole kkit.

daytona1680, did you have to do much trimming/custom fab to get the mark viii fan to fit?

I wouldn't do it if you tow a lot...you'd be hard pressed to find an electric fan that pulls the same cfm as a clutch fan at full lock up. The electric fan does reign supreme at idle though...it's a give and take kinda deal.

When I installed it the first time I just bolted it to the inside of the stock shroud, I had to trim it a little; but it wasnt bad. When I had it off in april to do engine work I took and cut the shroud off that it came on and I now just have a round fan,18"diameter(when whole it was rectangular)I have that bolted temporarily inside the round hole in the stock shroud. Im in the process of making my own shroud and fluid bottle's out of stainless steel, when I am done I will no longer have the bulky stock shroud and fluid bottle..it will kinda be like this, only my shroud will be stainless steel

so the markviii fits pretty easy inside the stock shroud huh? also, what are you using as far as a controller?

severedistortion, an e-fan is a definate must if you are towing. if you ever get stuck in traffic, you want that e-fan to cool off the engine that was just working hard for however many miles. also, when going highway speeds, the air from you driving will beat most any fan out there anyway.
