They just fool the PCM into thinking that the incoming air is cold and richens the mixture. It will give a bit more power, but lower MPG. It's a $.50 resistor.

heres my reply from SLR...

Hello Matt, What you have been looking at on our site is a vehicle
performance chip. The SLR chip is a custom programmed chip made specifically
for each vehicle. Our chip works by adjusting your Air/Fuel ratio to make
your vehicle consume less fuel and to produce its MAX potential horsepower
.
The chip is simple to install and takes less than 10 minutes to fully
install. We include step by step installation instructions. The SLR chip
connects into your IAT/AIT sensor plug. Our chips are also safe and will not
harm your vehicle in any way. The SLR chip does not void your vehicle’s
warranty either. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Don't touch it man...just think about it for a sec. How do you gain power and save gas at the same time? I'll tell you how....by leaning out the fuel and advancing the timing which both give you power. That can be a very bad combo if not done correctly by a professional...you can get detonation and destroy your engine. And yes it'll void your warranty...they're straight lying about that. Call dodge and confirm it..

BTW their claims are BS...
