Default MDS? Going Crazy

Hi all. I purchased a new Hemi Ram QC this past thursday. Love the truck but this MDS is making me crazy. The truck jerks, stutters and seems powerless at times. If I have the cruise set at 55 it will jerk like it is not getting enough fuel or something. Really annoying. Can you guys give me some info or your thoughts, experiences with this MDS. I though it was not supposed to be noticeable but it is and is annoying. Thanks...

you are not alone. I too have the same issues with the MDS. I have read alot of the same complants from othe Ram owners about the MDS system. I just deal with it.

Get it checked out, if your truck is new, for sure get it checked out. Something is not right, MDS does not do that.

My 08 doesn't do that either.

The MDS on my 08 is barely detectable.

Mine is pretty smooth. Go get it checked and ride with the tech and make sure he understands what is happening. Red

Yeah, what they said... Before I had aftermarket exhaust put on my truck, I never even knew it was there, now with the exhaust I can hear it, but it in no way shape or form jerks and acts funny... It's a smooth shift between V8 and V4 and back again.... Something else is wrong with you truck...

Cool guys, thanks. I will get it in sometime soon. Will drive it a bit more under some other type of driving conditions so I can see how it acts. Only 250 miles on it so for. Other than the this problem I love it. Glad to be back in a Ram.

After I put my exhaust on I noticed a MDS bump at highway speeds...and a mild drone but it doesn't bother me. The drone from the suspension overpowers it . It will seem powerless if you very slowly accelerate while in MDS...which is normal because it's on 4 cylinders.

Also i've noticed the best mpg when i'm controlling the throttle myself...cruise control uses too much throttle at times and takes it out of MDS.

Yeah, I noticed the power loss feeling while accelerating also.
