The healights should stay on if you cut the motor first. Mine go off after about 30 seconds from hitting the remote lock.

As for them coming BACK on after turning from pk lights to off, I have no clue. They should shut off if you cut the lights before the motor.

 

Mine does the same thing. I have to turn my lights off before I turn the truck off.

 

mine does the same thing except i hate it because it could ruin the ballasts for my hid's

 

Yeah if u do that and they dont turn off. Turn them all the way back on and then off again after the motor is off. THey turn off. Its a safety feature so at night when u pull of if its dark it gives u like 30-45 seconds to see where the hell your going. If u live in the boondocks where it is dark

 

yeah mine do to i have an 06 and the manual even talks about that if you turn them off b4 you shut off the truck then they will go off but they do that so people can see at night when they get out of the trucks.

Yep, thats the way it's supposed to work. My 07 Grand Caravan is the same way. 45 second delay if the engine is turned off first. I haven't tried the 08 RAM yet.
