I thought I'd share my rather unfortunate weekend happening with you guys. As you can seeI've got a fairly new mega cab, about 2200 miles last I looked. The 20'8" length took it's toll on the learning curve in a bad way on Saturday....was going way to fast in reverse and plowed over the neighbors mailbox, you'd think a truck this heavy might win that battle but the insurance adjuster put me just shy of $4k worth of damage....new rear bumper, tailgate, L rear light, rear quarter panel work, and new sheets on the drivers side doors all the way to the front quarter panel. Ouch! I'll try to get some pics on soon.....luckily the dodge dealer I bought from has a great body shop/collision center so they'll make it look new again. Quite the expensive learning experience to say the least.

 

Damn man sorry to hear that. Heck I bought mine on July 27, 2007 and a little old lady took it out Dec.25 2007. Not even 6 months. I too have a great body shop man and now it looks better than ever. Keep the faith.

Sorry to hear that too! Crap! Was it a mail box one of those that are all stone/brick, or just a post w/ a box?

 

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Mine wasn't anywhere near that bad but backing my Ram into my hard plastic recycle bin at 5 mph caused more damage than about 15 years ago when I backed into a telephone pole with my '78 Cadillac at 15mph.

 

Must have been a mailbox that my father in law built. My last house had the mailbox taken out by my neighbor's boat trailer. No biggy, I wanted to put something different anyway. My father in law came down to help. We dug a hole about 1' deep. Built the base and the height 4 cinder blocks square. Poured concrete and steel rods to fill the holes, then we mounted a mailbox to the top and molded an angled roof top with concrete. The mailbox got hit one more time before we moved, this time a car, the mailbox was fine and the car's airbag deployed....LOL

And than thiers me... Last november I was to lazy to shovel my drive way... I have a 4x4 to I backed over a biggymould of snow, but the rear wheals threw the truck ito my fence as they dug for traction..

Killed the fence, easy rebuild, but the rear quaterpanel of the truck on the drives side was scratched to hell ffrom the nails that poped of the fence boards...

1200.00 repair on my 06 2500 Ram..
