Default finished the CAI/ Throttle body spacer

so i finally go around to finishing the project i started a few months ago lol. i got my throttle body spacer and CAI all finished i went the cheap route to get rid of the "hemi hat" i just went to home depot and got some black pvc and drilled a hole in the elbow for the air temp sensor and it works like a charm i can already tell the difference between the old and new. here are some pics http://s324.photobucket.com/albums/k...ck%20pics/CAI/

Damn dude....good job on the CAI. I've always like the Volant airbox but hated that they left the silencer in there....you have the best of both worlds now .

As far as the spacer, on a wet manifold (Carb, TBI) they do work because the fuel is added before the spacer. Most modern engines like the Hemi are dry manifold...meaning they're port injected of some type. So the spacer doesn't do anything for the air/fuel mixture...and the "air spiral" most spacers claim is useless too. The intake manifold has so many twists and turns before it reaches the heads that any "spiral" will be gone.

It may increase low end torque a minute amount by making the intake runners theoretically longer on the EFI, but not enough to notice. The gains are from removing the HemiHat.

Devildg84. What schedule and lengths did you use? The Volant just came in today and install was a breeze, I'd like to get rid of the resonator also.

Side note, Semper Fi. 2nd Recon Bn. at CHB. Are you still active?
