Questions about lifts, tires, and pricing

I have a 08 Ram 1500 Big Horn QC 4x4, and I have been looking around for some wheels and tires. Today I was offered 20" Ultra Mako wheels and a 35x12.50R20 Toyo Open Country M/T for $2000. Sounds pretty solid right??
Next question is I know I was offered the Toyo M/T, but I am not a major off road driver. I mean when the opportunity presents itself to have a lil fun I definitely take it, but I am not an every weekend off road guy. I am also on the road for about 30 miles a day between work and home. My question is a tire like this to much for me?
Right now I don't have a level or a lift, and have been looking around at different ones. I am looking at a Daystar lift kit 2 1/2" in the front and 1 1/2" in the rear for $199. Is this enough to clear those tires without rubbing? If not what would you recommend so I can run the set up that was previously mentioned. Thanks alot in advance for your help guys.

I'm not a big fan of 35's on 20" wheels, but it's strictly an off-road performance thing. If this is pretty much for looks, they'll be ok.
The Toyo M/Ts are a great off-road, trail & mud tire. Probably the only tire I'd buy if I ever left the Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek stable, but even though it handles and wears well on pavement for a Mud Terrain tire, it's still not as good on the road and will wear faster than many A/T tires.
As far as the kit goes, your front end needs right between 2 and 2.5" of lift to level it with the rear. So lifting the front 2.5 and the rear 1.5 will not leave your truck level.
Again, I'm not a fan of 35" tires on just a level kit. But again, it's a question of off-road performance. Just not enough between the tire and tire well for the articulation you get on the trail. Again, if this is just a "looks" thing, then yes they will fit.
In my opinion, with the price of gas and the 30 mile daily commute, I'd get a nice set of rims (17's will get you better mileage, but I understand how nice 20's look), with maybe a 33" All-Terrain tire like a Mickey Thompson ATZ or Toyo Open Country A/T with just a set of coil spacers to level it up front. But it's your truck & your cash, not mine. Do the thing that makes you the happiest...

I think that combo will give you a pretty good balance of looks, mpg's, on-pavement performance and still the ability for some mild off-road play when you want to...
Try finding these, the Open Country A/T's in a LT275-65R20 (they make that size, I checked their website) it is just a shade under 34" will look really good with the level kit. But they will not fit without it. If you opt to not get the level kit, you'll need to stay at no more than 33"...

If you are looking at the same .pdf I was, it should be the size just above. The 34x12.5x20 would be ok too. I just suggested the other size for a slightly narrower tire which would not only give you a tad better mileage, but you don't have to find a wheel with the right backspacing you'd need to fit the wider 12.5" tire...
