places to grease on the 1500??
In the manual it says to grease the steering linkage on the 1500 and a bunch of other places to grease on the other models. So my question is that the only thing that I need to grease?? Also where is the steering linkage anyway! Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Grease my palm and I'll tell 'ya...

Actually, I think I've got a pic (.pdf actually) shows all the points on my desktop PC. When I can get to it I'll see and post it up for 'ya...
Pretty good answer originally though, huh?

Oh hell, I forgot you, I went & pulled up the .pdf and it was for my Jeep GC.
But I did just get this off of an automotive Q&A site for 'ya.
There are no grease fittings on these trucks as the manufacturer for some reason thought it might be better to eliminate them. Foolish I know but I am sure they are saving millions of dollars just so grease fittings aren't in place to regularly grease and maintain their trucks. The differential(s), transmission and transfer case (if present) should all be checked along with the brake fluid, power steering fluid, washer fluid, , belt and hoses for condition and leaks, wiper blades, and if the front end is off the ground check the and steering components for wear (this would be down the road when more miles have accrued).

Hammer,
So you're telling us that there are NO grease fittings to maintain on our trucks??? In other words, when I do an oil change in my driveway & check all the other fluids, I'm doing just as much as the dealership would?

That's my take on it. I had lube, tire rotations & oil changes free for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles and I took advantage of it, taking it in every 3,000 miles like clockwork until the truck turned three in April '07. I've not given a thought to greasing anything on the three or four oil changes I've done since, I guess I didn't need to...
i have crawled around every where under there, can't find anything to grease. though i did have to lube my centre console hinge, small squeak
i have heard on 4x4's there are no grease fitting to keep water out but it is more likely to get the replacement business as said above.
