I am wanting to do the exact same thing to my 08 ram TRX. Please let us know it works. I want to add them myself. I haven't ordered the kit yet because of the whole computer issue. I thought the computer had to be flashed to output more amps for the lights.

thanks

Just one more question. Which trucks/years are the rams pre-wired for fog lights?

thanks

I don't know what year is pre-wired. Mine is a 2008 quad cab STX. If you look at the front driver's side down around where the fog light is supposed to be, there is a single plug with nothing in it. That is the one for fog lights. The kit has the wiring that plugs into it and then goes to each light from there. There is also a new light switch for inside the cab to turn the fog lights on.

I will post pics when I do it, because I am going to do it. So, does anyone know how much the dealer charges for this??? I know the Sales Mgr at my local Dodge dealer, so I may be able to "git-r-dun" for free! Maybe? Please?

I did this on my 2007 Pacifica and it worked without any re-programming, but this is not a Pacifica.

Anyway...... I will let you all know what the deal is.

I went outside just now and I found the plug for the fog lights. I looked at a kit that also had a relay in it. Is this the same kit everyone is talking about? I am going to order the kit soon.

thanks

No there's not a relay in the kit...if you're pre-wired it should come with a new light switch, Y harness, 2 lights w/brackets and new black plastic inserts.

That's what the kit I am ordering has in it. It is the part # that I posted earlier if you get it from Mopar.

So, my stock pickup will have some changes soon. I have already added a K&N filter. I have the fogs coming, some Husky liner mats, a billet grill coming soon, and I ordered some of the Carr Hoop II's for steps. I will leave the engine stock for the most part. 310hp is pretty good for now. I may eventually change the stock muffler out for something else, ie Dynomax or Borla, but who knows. I actually kind of like the exhaust note right now, but the stock muffler probably does not flow as well as the aftermarket ones.
And lastly, I will change the wheels out for something a little cooler. I am thinking of something with a chrome lip and gloss black on the inside. Hmmm...what will the wife think?? LOL

SLT models and up have it prewired. I am 99 percent sure on the second half of the statement. BUt I KNOW SLT ALL ARE WIRED.
