It's not our fault you can't get your freakin oil filter off, obviously the thing to do to get it off if you can't, is to shell out the measley $25 and have a professional take it off for you. Sounds like you might be turning it to the right instead of to the left, lol!

This is getting good.

Side note: I would be extremely hesitant to post a thread telling people that i couldn't get my oil filter off. Knowing your opening yourself up for responses like, "Put your purse down first" and "Have your boyfriend do it".

To each their own though.

I use oil filter specific channel locks that can be had at any auto parts store. Big wide and rounded jaws with excellent grip.

I'm also fairly new, and I'm waiting to increase my post count a little before becoming a complete jerk.

FWIW, I have Chuck Norris stare at my oil filter. It falls off on its own out of pure fear.

Man I always seem to miss the good sh*t!
Anyway, this has been a topic with many, especially '08 owners. My advice is to take it to the dealer the first time, after that you should have no problem removing the filter from then on...

haha Hammer it was getting pretty deep in here earlier, I usually give most people the benefit of the doubt but a newbie has to earn some stripes before they can start talking s*it, IMO

So why would they put the filter on without oiling the gasket at the factory?
