Default christmas vacation

i need a little help. my family and i are going to AK for xmas and i told my father we should take at least one 4x4, but he is dead set on taking two nissan sentras through the ozarks (economy). i need to know if you that live in that area, or those like it (mountains in winter), think we can get by with the sentras and chains, or do you think we will need a 4x4, pls help, i really need to convince my dad, i think he's getting in over his head.

thanks.
Mike

Sentra's are disposable anyway

I personally would take the 4x4.

Okay, Ozark hills snow and ice with no 4x4 equals bad idea.

Forget the snow and ice, I just saw your pic. Dude, you're 6' and 300+ lbs. You'll die in a Sentra on a long ride will like that. I'm 6'2" and about 280, when I started dating my ex, she had a Sentra and I was only like 225 lbs. then, and couldn't stand driving it to pick up a pizza!

You might be able to get away with two nissians but I would take a 4x4 anyways. You will feel alot more confident driving in snow with a 4x4. Plus, if you need to go out for any reason and it's snowing or there is snow predicted to fall, you will have the 4x4 to take out...
