Default Annoying ding (Door open)

Is there a ez way to get rid of the annoying door ding when you have the keys BACK one click (which turns on radio) and a door is open? It just beeps over n over n over n over if my door is open. I want to disable it somehow.

Thanks

I don't think you CAN get rid of that particular noise.

Leave the belt buckled up behind you and no ding.

As for the door, leave the window down and the slider open if you want to listen to the stereo. I can't see any other reason to leave it open. Or you could open the passenger side instead.

There is a thing in the owner's manual about the seat belt chime thing. to disable or enable it. As far as the door open ding, you would have to make the sensor on the driver door think that it is closed. How? IDK!? If you think that's annoying, Do any of you guys know what the sound was for the 2nd gen rams? ANNOYING!

on my 1997 I just looked around until i found the soruce of the noise, and then just cut the wires going to it. Had a buddy with the same truck that hated it too, got pissed at it one day an jabbed a screwdriver thru it. It worked.....

Cute. Knowing my luck the 02s probably have that sensor tied to the ECU that detects crashes. Jabbing it with a screw driver would probably cause the airbags to deploy 8-0.
