If you don't like the 4.6 Ford you won't like the 4.7. Spend the few extra dollars so you won't hate yourself.

They're giving away brand new 08's right now because of the newly designed 09 rams coming out and the economy is crap. If you can swing it that's the way i'd go...that way you get the lifetime powertrain. You could literally get a decently loaded brand new 4x4 hemi for under 20k easy..

Get the Hemi, you will never regret it. If you get a 4.7 you will be kicking yourself every time someone asks, "That thing got a Hemi?" and you have to say no.

I just wanted to mention it again, if you do buy the 4.7, be sure to buy an 08. They got a few updates that resulted in a nice power bump. I have an 08 4.7, and am happy with the power. Just for kicks, I drove a friend's 08 with the Hemi, and the power difference isn't that great. Either with the 4.7 or the Hemi, these things are underpowered dogs compared to your Mustang. I had a 2006 Saab with a 2.5 Turbo, and compared to that thing, my 4.7 feels like a dog. However, I'm not complaining, it's a great truck.

Also, the 4.7 is a lot smoother than the 5.7. It revs a lot cleaner, feels silky smooth. The 5.7 makes more power, but is a bit rougher around the edges. If you're coming from Fords, the 4.7 is going to be more familiar in feel.

Either way, you're getting a fantastic truck, I love my Dodge.
