Spark plugs?
Well I figure it's probably about time to change the plugs in my 04' 1500 hemi. I've had the truck since 44K km, and it's up to 73K now, and I haven't changed em yet. Any suggestions on what to use? I used the bosche platinum +4's in my two old cars (02 cavy and 84 fifth ave) and was pretty happy with em. So what does the Hemi like?
The guys on here will say use the stock champion cheapies because the hemi doesn't like platinum (09 hemi's come from the factory with platinum) or iridium plugs...but if I was you i'd put in some good plugs. I've never had good luck with bosch plugs but NGK's have never let me down.
im going to be looking at some brisk plugs. as soon as i need a set. now heres the question, do you have to change the lower 4 plugs, or just the top 4 plus in an 08 5.7
i meant to say 8 upper, and 8 lower.

They are side by side under each coil pack on the valve covers. Each coil fires two plugs.

I think they are down by the exhaust manifolds.
yes some of the 4.7 in 08 have 16 spark plugs they are on the side close to the exhaust manifold but some of the 08 come with the original 4.7L with only 8 sparkplugs oh and the 5.7 hemi has 16 spark plugs none onthe side of the manifold and when you do a tune up please replace all of them there on top of the heads like the old school hemi if there are on the sides of the heads you have a 4.7 also the ones on the sides of the heads on the 4.7 are platiums the one on top are regular copper plug sorry for the long post and hope i help
