DOES NOT work on headlights....

Been there, wasted a set of Chevy headlights for the experiment... I still have them if anyone wants to see...

Kills the light output. Does blacken them some, but you can't see crap at night!

I did it. its pretty simple. i actually cleaned the light pretty good first and lightly wet sanded it for it to adhere. i then sprayed light coats, 2 to be exact and lightly wet sanded in between coats. it comes out as a dull black after sanding, so i sprayed 3 coats of clear to get a very glossy look. after that i polished them with a powerball meant for paint with some plastXpolish. look great and have lasted a good while.

VHT used to make that stuff years ago. Worked good.
I agree on the headlights, I had smoked covers on my Mustang for awhile and couldn't see crap.

blacking out the taillights /headlights is an excellent look ,,,,for the back ones defantely do it, for the front one ive heard if you spray the headlights the heat of the light will just fade it off quickly . i have the plastic blackouts on my headlights , but guess what , my *** cannot see worth a damn at night! i bought foglights just recently and am currently trying to get those on so i can keep my covers on! and for the record , i have not gotten pulled over once for my lights, only my loud *** exhaust system!
