My full on system buildup

ahh, see I have 6.5" speakers in the rear doors. I paid $180 for all 4 speakers from Circuit City. I can get an Infinity or Harman stereo equiptment for wholesale since my bud is a distributor, however he had to wait for the next shipment to order what I wanted and I actually thought the Polk sounded much better than the Infinity Kappa series. Much fuller sound stage. Thanks for the tip though.

Well heres the finished product. I just nned to sand everything flush, Make everything pretty and raise the seats. It's already in my truck and it sounds great. The seats do need to be raise though. This was the best and first box I have ever made, even the custom stereo shops were impressed with my work. What color carpet should I cover the box with? Should I add foam padding to give it a custom look?

the 12's fit after all or did you go out and get a set of 10's? They look like 10's?
I went to walmart and bought speaker box carpet. They have a roll in the speaker/audio section. It's only like $9 3ft widex8ft long I think. It was more than enough. I went with gray. Just remember the foam padding will need additional seat clearance towards the back unless you just flatten it back there????

I got brand new type R 10's, but I don't need to raise the seats afterall. It's kind of vunnf becuase I had my power wire laying across the seat brackets so the seats would'nt fold down all the way. Well now its folds down all the way but the back edge of the sub hits the sit just little. I also noticed the carpet on the seat slaps the subs. Is there anyway I can somehow tighten the looses upholstry under the seat? Overall it still sounds like I got my 12's still but in a smaller package.

Heres the final product finally. Check out all the picture to see how the whole thing cam along.
Now all I need is to get Alpine type R components and a Alpine headunit and Im done.
Other plans are to limo tint the very back windshield and windshield eye brow. Tint the tail lights. Maybe a rollpan.

Very nice.
What made you install the subs facing that way?
I decided to install mine facing the front so when the seat is flipped up, the view from the front seat is proper.
Also, do you think you'll have any issues with your speaker output wires hitting your seat when you fold it down?
Just curious?

Well bass isn't directional so I just faced them up to keep the box simple, The seats fold down fine and I didn't have to raise them. The terminal cups I got sit flush with the box and so does the wires, the seats barely clear the wires. I did notice though when I have it turned up and some one is sitting in the back seat, the seat upholstry slaps the sub. Theres is plenty of space so the sub won't hit the actual seat from though. How did you face the subs foward by the way.
