My full on system buildup
Well I startes my system a year ago and by then I got a sony hu, kicker 700w 5ch amp, 2 alpine 500w amps. 2 alpine type r12" subs. alpine type r 6x9's, type s 6 1/4. I recently just put sound deadener in my truck and wow. It put it this stuff called fatmat which is about half the price off dynamat and wroks almost as good. My only problem is the asphalt smell but it's already starting to go away and it's been a day. I also started a project on a fiberglass enclosure under the rear seats. I am custom making a box that is half fiberglass half mdf. I will be replacing my type r 12's for 10's. Im also going to put alpine type r components in the doors and a new headunit. I will post pics soon but it will take awhile to finish the whole thing. So if anyone is doing a system check out my setup for an idea on what to do.

Just unbolt the rear seats with the 4 size 18 bolts and the size 14 nuts that hold down the trays. Then just lift up and the seats pop out. The only thing holding the back of the seat to the wall is a metal flap that slides into a metal post. You also have to unbolt the seat belts from the floor. There is a carpet lining with insulation on the back wall that I ripped off and replaced with fat mat. I just started the enclosure today and might get the fiberglass part finished tomarrow. I forgot to take pics of my deadened doors but ill get more pics soon.

Yes the bottom of the box is going to be fiberglass so it forms to the carpet then above the frame is going to be 3/4" mdf. I can't decide what im going to wrap it with, my padded leather, carpet, or suede. Does anyone have the alpine type r 10" subs? how do they sound for sound quality. My 12"s are all about SPL and just being loud and vibrating everything.

I paid $300 for fiberglass matt and cloth, 5gallon resin, catylist, acetone, and all the others. I had a automotive customizing shop help us out with the fiberglassing. The owner helped do the final touches to the box. All i need to do is get the mdf cover, seal all the edges with fiberglass. The whole box will be bolted to the floor from the inside so it will be impossible to steal. After talking to a few people, we might be able to fit my
12's in there becuase there is alot mor airspace we weren't expecting. After the box is done and everything is in, i might go ahead and get the components for the front doors and be done.
