Can anyone help give me more information on a few items from my build sheet from Dodge?
1. My rear axle is listed as: Corporate 9.25 LD Rear Axle. Is this a standard axle or is this a work axle?
2. This is listed: 6 1/2 FT. Cargo Box
Is this the bed, or did the truck come with a seperate box?
the 9.25 is the standard rear axle for all light duty trucks, ie: ram 1500. the 2500 gas has the 10.50 rear end, and the 2500/3500 deisel has the 11.50 i believe.
the cargo box is your bed. that is just chryslers term for it.
Corporate means its the standard across all platforms for that application (i.e., 1500 Rams, hemi Durangos, etc). Instead of calling it what it is (a 9.25" rear, been in production since 1973) they have a nice soft term for it.
I don't know about that, I had one in a 74 Monaco with a 440, and it seemed to work ok (I think it still had the original pumpkin juice in it when I got it in 2001!).
