Interior Squeaks and Clicks
Hi all,
I purchased a new 2008 Dodge Ram 4x2 Lone Star about 6 weeks ago. A few weeks ago, an odd clicking sound started to happen in the right front door. The clicking seems to stop when I lower the window just a smidge. Also, on the driver's door, there is an odd rattle that also goes away when I lower the window a little. Lastly, if I move side to side in the driver's seat, there is a creaking sound. A little disheartening to say the east with the vehicle being new.
Any thoughts? I've had it to the dealer twice, they used foam in the right door but it didn't help. I must say that other than these annoyances, I LOVE my truck.
Thanks all!

I would guess that the rattle is a loose clip somewhere in the door panel. Since you say it's related to the window, it might even point to a part that mounts the window mechanism to the door. I had something similar on my old Dakota where a panel mounting clip had come loose and just sat against the metal of the body and rattled all the time. It was so annoying that I ended up removing the plastic panel and that's when I found it.

How'd the Ram do in the snow last week?? I was in Dickinson on Tuesday and saw their piles but the woman said they didn't have anything compared to you.
