if your objective is to be loud then stay away from flowmaster. Get any type of glasspack. I had the super 44 series and switched to a summit glasspack and it is much louder.

i went the opposite i had a glasspack for not even 2 days and got the flowmaster 40 original 40 series and i thought it sounded alot better with the 40 series, a better tone and i personally thought it was louder. i was going to get a magnaflow but they were to quiet for my taste when i heard it on a freinds hemi..

but def go with 3" in and 2.5" out....

lol thats wierd. Different tastes i guess. Flowmasters do have a deeper tone i think, but for some reason i think my glasspack is louder. did you have a cherry bomb glassback??, i heard those are ridiculously loud.

but heres a clip of my 3"in3"out glasspack with stock tailpipe just to get an idea airram12

I installed a Thrush muffler 2 chamber and it is pretty loud. I used the factory 3" pipe.

yeah i had an old school cherry bomb laying around and it didnt sound very good at all on there. ive heard the different alot of the different flowmaster series on the trucks and fell in love with the original 40 over the deltaflows and the supers. was louder i thought just my opinion. i just like loud no matter what setup it is im sure we can both agree on that. i couldnt help but get rid of the factory exhaust the day after i bought the truck new. the stock exhaust just doesnt cut it

I hear you on that one. The stock muffler has to be the biggest and heaviest thing I have ever seen lol(compared to aftermarket muffflers)

O and 3"in and 2.5"dualoutlet

so it seems everyone agrees on the 2.5" out.... i don't believe i can get away with a glasspack in massachussetts... i think your have to have a muffler for emmissions reasons... so i think i'll end up with the 40 series for my muffler of choice

i live in MA... im going to tell you now its going to be hard to get a sticker next time around with any aftermarket exhaust in MA. they are cracking down alot. i payed $75 for my sticker haha....ive had the flowmaster 40 series for over 2 years and i still love it. dont go by my word just go to a local shop and ask for loud and see what they say. if your in eastern MA check out lous custom, they do great work and can do anything you want for a great price. i forget exactly what i paid i think like $300ish for the muff the custom fab work and the tips ( i have mine 3 inch in dual 2.5 out and they exit out the sides behind each tire with 3 inch slash cut tips)
But check out sound clips on youtube youll find what you want...
