I got my truck back today. What a difference, it's like a new truck now. They showed me the parts that were screwed. There were about 6 clutches that were burned badly. And there is this valve on the pump body that stoppeds the torque convertor from draining. i guess it was screwed up as well.

It only takes a few hours to rebuilt a transmission once it's sitting on the work bench. I've seen transmissions rebuilt before from start to finish. It's very true that they don't use half the new parts in the rebuild kit, such as the friction rings and valves. They can tell just by looking at them and tell if they are bad or not. They only replace what's bad. They save the extra parts and sooner or later they have a free rebuild kit they use and charge someone for. It doesn't make any sense to me just not to just replace everything, it all about saving time and money for themselves.
